Dr. McCarthy of Des Moines visited Pella Sunday to consult on Dr. H. H. Viersen. It was decided no operation was needed as Viersen is progressing as well as could be expected. Dr. W W Talbot went to Knoxville last week to provide expert testimony in a suit over diseased hogs sold to a man.
H D Wormhoudt runs a shoe sale in town. Local items note Dick Van Gorp Theo LeCocq and Harold Dodds took an auto trip to Des Moines Tuesday. Postoffice officials say city delivery for Pella may start September first. Franklin Keables appointed clerk in Pella post office. Rev Vander Werf to preach in English at First Reformed Church Sunday evening.
