Washington youths robbed by Chicago gangster near Keota
A near eighteen year old man calling himself Steve Miller robbed two Washington boys three miles west of Keota after hitching a ride, taking six dollars and a 32 caliber pistol. He fled to Oskaloosa where authorities captured him. Miller confessed to the holdup and described lodging at Fremont’s Hartzel hotel earlier.
