Mrs and Mr Jake Laverman of Sully observed their 40th wedding anniversary Friday evening April 22 at the home of their sons in law and daughter Wilbur De Penning. Guests enjoyed games photos a light lunch and gifts included a money gift from children and relatives.

Mrs Margaret Klyn opened her home to members of the Me dist Circlé last week Wednesday assisted by Mrs ME President Sits. John Hoek sema led prayer and devotions. Ten members read Scripture and answered roll call. Two visitors joined in social hour. Mizpah prayer closed with light refreshments. Next meeting set for June.

Exchange Vows at Second Christian Reformed Church
The daughter of Mr and Mrs Schippers of Route 1 Pella wed Larry Myers in a ceremony at the Second Christian Reformed Church attended by 175 guests. Rev L Van Lagt officiated. The bride wore silk organza with Venise lace and a chapel train, matching mitts, pearl headpiece, and a fingertip illusion veil. Attendants included matron of honor Sherrie Van Dyk, flower girl Sherrie Van Dyk, and ring bearer Larry Schip. The groomsmen were Don Hiemstra John Hiemstra and Vernon Meinders. Music by Phyllis Van Dusseldorp and Dennis Van Zee. Reception in the church basement followed. The couple plan to live at 413% Oskaloosa Street in Pella after a short trip.
