The piece argues that Yalta is used as a smear to attack postwar agreements and asks what would have happened if Yalta had not occurred. It notes Russia’s advances in Eastern Europe and Manchuria, and questions whether Roosevelt and Churchill could have resisted Stalin’s promises without risking war. It concludes that without Yalta, Western leaders would face exposure of Soviet perfidy anyway.
