D X Parade in Pella Tuesday Highlights New Diamond Product
A parade of Mid-Continent Petroleum employees and Diamond service trucks moved through downtown Pella Tuesday afternoon to promote the new D-X Lubricating Motor Fuel. The procession drew crowds as a decorated D-X broadcast truck led with martial music and loudspeaker announcements praising D-X as the successor to Gasoline. The campaign aims to push sales across 14 midwestern states with Diamond stations reporting up to 60 percent higher sales. Also included is a biographical obituary for Mr. Carson, former Pella city surveyor, detailing his honesty and community service with funeral services planned Friday at his brother Henry Carson’s home.
