Weather remained cool delaying growth but farming progressed rapidly. Frost touched areas April 28 and May 2 with freezing temps on the latter date. Saturday and Sunday rains benefit meadows pastures and small grain and prepare soil for corn planting. Small grain except winter wheat in good condition. some winter kill and plowing for oats or corn reported. Pastures ample feed and stock in grass. Cherry plum and pear bloom noted in southern regions and apples in bloom.

County forecast warns of hard killing frosts on the last morning of the week likely to injure fruit in bloom across counties. Agricultural officials urge protection measures as temperatures drop.
College Notes Minstrel Show and Recitals Highlight Week
May 19 the C Club plans a Ministrel Show while May 11 features a Leonard Allen voice recital. A chapel pep meeting, a Philos and Alethains session, and multiple pupil recitals accompany social events at the Y M C A and Y W C A. A talk by Mr Wesselink inspires the fellows as city ministers join in.
