State Inspector F J Beans explained the drive’s purpose to reduce avoidable accidents and urged drivers to follow road rules. Knoxville Car Stolen and Stripped of Accessories
A Chevrolet coach owned by GM Belknap was taken early Monday morning and stripped of about $200 in accessories. Thieves could not start the engine and pushed the vehicle about five miles out on highway No 60 south of town before removing wheels headlights battery cylinder head tires and other parts.

Aged Man Found Burned To Death Near Louilla
Joe Kofman aged 79 died in a brush fire eight miles west of Louilla on Friday after lighting a brush blaze on his son's farm where he resides. The blaze occurred on the same property and the incident is being investigated.

Knoxville tackled for overloaded truck and taxi license breach
Will Hagan of Knoxville paid a five dollar fine plus costs for operating a taxi without a chauffeur license and had his car taken to a garage for proper brakes lights and licenses. The state patrol, Murray and Bean, will return to Knoxville tomorrow to continue enforcement of motor vehicle laws including prohibitions on trucks wider than six feet and mandatory corner reflectors and flare lights.
