Pella theater vote urged by merchants petition
A readers letter from K L Whitney on March 10 urges Pella voters to place Sunday movie showings on the ballot March 27. The author cites a ninety percent merchant petition backing a popular vote, arguing tax relief, educational value, and local entertainment would keep young people in town on Main Street. The piece frames business leaders as main taxpayers pushing for a council decision to recognize Sunday films.
