Pella High School Basketball Records Debated
Local fans review the 1940 Pella High team coached by Charles Claypool and compare it to the 1940-41 squad, noting a 24 of 26 record, losses to Lincoln Des Moines and Tama, and highlight players now in service. The piece recalls rival teams and near misses, urging further season-long reviews as fans debate who truly held the curtain on basketball’s coast.
