Pella High's Future Farmers of America team won the area tournament final in Pella, edging Knoxville 26-25 in overtime. Harold Vander Linden and Buck Terlouw led the Dutch with clutch plays as the overtime period decided the title. Knoxville had earlier defeated Oskaloosa and Newton defeated Knoxville in consolation actions.
