Jimmie Kempkes won a deluxe wool plaid lap robe in the Kaiser-Frazer contest. He is believed to be the only Pella citizen among hundreds of entrants. Kempkes placed in the seventh week contest, per a release from K P Company. Henry Pethven, manager, and staff attended the Rural Electric Cooperatives national convention in Chicago at the Stevens Hotel last Monday and Tuesday.
