The City Council of Pella repeals Ordinance 17 and Ordinance 12 defining salaries of city officers. Effective April 1 1909 after publication in the Pella Chronicle and Pella’s Weekblad. Adopted March 2 1909. Signed by Mayor S Vanderzyl and City Clerk A C Kuyper.
A draft ordinance for the City of Pella repeals section 1 and section 3 of ordinance 11 concerning the election duties and compensation of the City Solicitor and enacts substitutes. The measure states that section 1 is repealed and the city council is to enact the new provisions in its place.
The City of Pella shall at its first meeting after the biennial election appoint a City Solicitor. He receives full compensation for legal services an annual salary of 150 dollars paid quarterly plus all necessary costs and disbursements. The ordinance takes effect upon publication at Pella Iowa.
