Hardboard Paint Rules Are Simple
Hardboard offers easier painting and longer lasting results due to a knot free smooth surface. Follow standard wood painting steps: clean, remove loose paint, sand smooth, seal with primer, and select top coat for interior or exterior use. Exterior siding may only need painting every four to five years versus yearly for other wood products.
