Farmers active at the Friday market with mostly feeder cattle. Prices show 500 to 650 pound light flesh cattle averaging. Seven black cattle priced at 7.00 per cwt. Strong bidding on quality piggy sows with a group selling at 10.50 per cwt.
Livestock Auction Prices Mixed for Sheep and Cattle
The sale featured plain horses and various livestock prices. Ewes sold at top yields around 10.80 per cwt while feeders brought 10.30 cwt. Market price hovered near 2.50 cwt. Cull ewes reached 7.50 each, widowed wethers 8.05, fat cows 5.60, fat heifers 6.08 per cwt, and bulls quoted at market value per cwt.
