White Way No 2 cut in paving
The Iowa Good Roads Association proposes paving Primary Road No 2 from Council Bluffs to Des Moines and from Oskaloosa to Muscatine. Between Des Moines and Oskaloosa No 17 covers Des Moines to Knoxville and No 24 Knoxville to Oskaloosa. The plan omits the Oskaloosa Des Moines segment, favoring Knoxville and raising local concern in Pella. The Pella chamber criticizes the lack of clarity and alleges secrecy around the final routing.
