The Philomathian society hosted Alethian ladies at a gymnasium banquet on Friday evening. A program of talks and music followed a prepared lunch with a toast session led by J. F. Catlin and others. Guests praised the event, while Devoted hostesses Mesdames Hopton and Yard were thanked for the culinary work.
