On Tuesday last week the House approved 76 to 19 a change to the school standards act. The measure requires the educational program to reflect contributions of all persons who shaped a field, including women and minority groups, expanding current rules that already demand inclusion in elementary social studies and seventh and eighth grade science and math courses.
