Bond Drive in Pella Seeks Faster War Bond Sales
The Pella District lags in meeting its war bond quota with only 183 242.50 raised in the first ten days since the June 19 start. Compared to February last year the sum is well short of the 504 000 goal, prompting the council to extend bank hours and urge door to door pledges while emphasizing the need to support soldiers and country through increased bond purchases.
