Risks of spraying 2 4 D on corn tops in Marion County
The Marion County weed problem has farmers using 2 4 D spray over corn. Spraying above the top risks injuring growing points and reducing yield. Use drops to keep spray below the corn top and tilt nozzles toward weeds. Best results occur in June when weeds are young. One application in fence rows can save labor and seeds next year.
