Pella airport funding drive makes major leap forward
A private fundraising initiative for a municipal airport near Pella has raised 20 500 toward the 56 000 condemnation price for 46 acres on the Grace Van der Linden farm four miles west of Pella. If the 15 500 shortfall remains, donations will be returned and the project postponed. The city plans to fund the site without federal tax funds.
