Fly Season Warning and Control Measures Urged
A local health official warns that houseflies develop from egg to adult in about ten days and advocates aggressive control. He calls flies social climbers, urging removal of breeding sites, frequent garbage disposal, and cleaning barn lots. Screens and barriers are recommended to keep flies from homes and public venues. Public concern centers on protecting restaurants and residents from disease-spreading pests.
