Jean DeGeus daughter of Mr and Mrs Andrew De Geus Route 2 Pella became the bride of Leo William Van Sant son of Mr and Mrs Vienus Van Sant Route 8 Newton in a 7 45 p m double ring ceremony Wednesday June 1 officiated by Rev Kenneth Havert of Newton.
A wedding for a Pella couple took place at the First Reformed Church with 160 guests. The bride wore chantilly lace and tulle over satin, a lace crown and veil, carrying a cascade bouquet of pink roses. Attendants wore blue outfits, and a blue white reception followed in the church social hall. The couple will reside in Newton Iowa after a brief wedding trip.

W C T U potluck supper June 14 at West Market Park 6 30 with Rev Gerie Muyskens speaker. Family reunion in Des Moines Cedar Rapids Pella Marion Illinois guests include Van Berkum Lokerse Rohrdanz Hat tie Van Gorkum Douglas.
Relatives of P W Van Gorp held a pot luck supper on Memorial Day Monday evening. Attendees included D W Van Gorp P W Van Gorp Hattie Van Gorp J A Der Hartog of Knoxville Andrew Kook M C Van Gorp Dirk Joe Dahm William Van Gorp Marvin Van Gorp Timothy Grebta Gerrit Ustermarkt Bruce Jay Vander Hart and their children Joyce Marsha Mark and Robert.
Eighth grade students held a May graduation event with a Hawaiian background and a carnival. Decorations were made by Jean Morgan, Louise Zante, Donna Withart, Eileen Klein, Mary Ver Meer, Dave Van den Baard, Jim Paton, and Larry Aldridge. The committee included Mest, Hiemstra, Caldwell, Mrys, and Mrs Patton, who organized a talent show and served lunch to attendees.
On Friday the Clan of 1910 observed a special recognition event in gold. Alumni attendees included Jane and Hepthelt from the Association, among others, with days and front details noted.
