Shorthorn Sale At Marion County Sets New Prices
Breeders from wider area attend the Marion County Shorthorn Breeders Association sale in Knoxville on May 1. Forty two animals brought $7,105, with averages of $172.60 for bulls and $165 for cows. Top bull price was $280 and top cow price $300, bought by local bidders including C A Bailey and Son and Jimmy Miller. Most stock sold moved out of the county despite strong bidding and a rain storm during the sale.
