Gardens Struck by Unseasonable Heat Across Harvests
The past week of extreme heat damaged late vegetables. June and July beans dry up and yields look poor. Tomatoes suffer with many fruits turning pink rather than dark red and sweet. Potatoes vine withered and tubers risk rot if rain comes. Late crops show signs of failure while early harvests may still salvage cobbler strain.
