4 Hy demonstration contest set for July 30 in Mahaska County
4 H club members will present agricultural demonstrations on Friday evening July 30 at 7 30 p m in the 4 H building at the fair grounds announced Jim Johnson County Extension Associate A number of demonstrations by young people are planned All club members parents leaders and others are invited to attend Demonstrations aim to build speaking ability self confidence teamwork organizational skills and domain expertise Henry Stutchel from Wapel Jo County Ottumwa will judge the demonstrations He will also discuss the Winter Quarter Program in Farm Operation for farm boys The program runs November 30 to February 26 and offers college credit toward a 2 year certificate or 4 year degree One hundred fifty nine students enrolled in winter 1964 Interested parties should contact Jim Johnson at the Extension Office in Oskaloosa
