Pella Sailors Thrilling Trip Back From France
Describes a long voyage from France to the United States aboard a troop ship. Troop and civilian passengers, battles with a major fire on board, crowded decks, delays, and moments of shore leave mix with concerts, mail runs, and vivid glimpses of life at sea. The writer notes gas casualties, submarine rumors, and a hard return journey ending with arrival in U S waters.
