Will Berrier opened a clam containing a pearl worth several hundred dollars while dredging in the Cedar river near Nashua. Clammers report a profitable season with shells yielding about 55 dollars per ton as a closed season limits supply. Dallas Woman Hurt in Knoxville Car Crash
Mrs. Charles McAllister of Dallas was severely injured Sunday afternoon when a Chevrolet coupe driven by Howard Scott struck her car on Fifth Street near Robinson. Her son Alvin was with her. the impact overturned the vehicle, causing shock and minor bruises. She received first aid at Mrs Kate Wilson’s home and was later taken to Mater hospital. Witnesses say the other driver was speeding.
