Local storm leaves trees down and power out
A Friday night rain and windstorm caused widespread damage in Locustdale and nearby areas. Trees toppled onto electric lines, a barn was destroyed, and a new Otley school addition lost its roof and windows. Electric and phone service remained out over 24 hours, highlighting reliance on power. Nearby, residents and visitors shared news of family travels, 4-H events, and local obituaries as life continued in the aftermath.
