Sudan Good Grass For Extra Pasture
Sudan grass has often been used successfully as a supplementary pasture crop in Iowa says Ralph Krenzin extension agronomist at Iowa State College. It is drought resistant and highly productive, growing well during the warmest part of summer when permanent pastures are dormant. The new sweet Sudan developed by the Texas Experiment Station is more palatable and productive than the common type, with sweet juicy stems, non shattering seed and disease resistance.
