Miss Helen Elscott of Killduff Iowa and Mr. Beryl Holdsworth of Killduff Missouri were married at the Christian parsonage in Lancaster on June 30 with Rev. Clark W. Comstock officiating. The couple will reside in Killduff and were accompanied by Ray Gifford and family. The bride, a Sully high school graduate of 1924, has taught in country schools. Iowa Agricultural Trends Report Butter Dip Then Rise In May
Iowa dairy and farm data show April butter output down 13.23 percent from 1981, followed by a May rise of 42.06 percent yet still 2.07 percent below last year. Nationally, the first five months exceed last year’s total. Hatcheries report May chick production up largely due to cheaper grain and hens sold for cash, while Adams county becomes the first to be reaccredited under a TB testing plan. Iowa farms run wider red ink despite efficiency, with a 1981 income drop from 763 to 818 dollars per farm. Oleomargarine sales plunge as butter prices rise and a tax stamps decline 939 percent.
