He reportedly ransacked a depot, lifted the money drawer, and carried packages and a water jug before being taken into custody and jailed, then handed to the Jasper County sheriff for trial on auto theft charges.

Noah J. Baker Dies in Oregon After Civic Work
Noah J. Baker of Cottage Grove Oregon, longtime Hillside resident, died in Emanuel Hospital Portland on June after an operation on June 6. Funeral services were held at Congregational church, Forest View cemetery interment, Forest Grove Undertaking Co. Survived by Alfa Wiatkins Baker and three children, six grandchildren. He helped found local highways and dairy industry efforts and was active in Gale Grange and Hillside Congregational church.

Illness of Heart Fatal to W. L. Etter
W J Etter former publisher of the Sigourney Review and prominent Keokuk county Democrat died this morning after a three day illness from a heart attack. He was born in Pennsylvania and lived in Cedar county before moving to Sigourney where he bought the Sigourney Review about 85 years ago. He was married to Flora Cotton and leaves three children Mrs Carl Seliger of Orange City Mrs Jerry Sleeper of New York City and Cotton Etter postmaster of Sigourney and current editor.
