Ottumwa’s municipal pool attracted hundreds from the city and nearby towns with 677 grade school children in the pool Wednesday. City bacteriologist Wilson D. Elliott reported the water remains perfectly bacteria free after multiple tests, aided by a new ammoniator built by Elliott and pool manager Charles W. Brockman.
