Bible training seen as key to better editor English

A National Industries News Service piece notes editors with Bible schooling retained better language habits. It argues younger editors show a dismissive Bible attitude that harms their English, citing readers correcting mistakes like misquoting the Twelve Commandments. Why Editors Know Their Bible

The Bible greatly shapes editor speech and style as the Bible Guild notes editors quote it. Editors keep a thumbed Bible on hand and many phrases from the King James Version permeate daily English usage, reflecting its lasting influence on newsrooms and readers alike.
