Marion County 4-Hers aiming at profit from cattle feeding should learn about the Junior Cattle Feeder Project. Enrollment due January 31. Members feed 3 to 10 head on a commercial lot basis with no starting weight restriction. Feeding and marketing decisions vary by member. Records must be kept and calves cannot be shown as baby beeves at the County Fair.
Farm economist J William Uhrig of Iowa State University says hog profits may rise while prices average 50 cents to $1 lower in 1963 than in 1962. He cites forecasts covering the June through November period of 1962.
