Fire damages Parsonage roof and interior
The Lahe fire department answered a forenoon alarm at the M. E. Church parsonage to a roof fire that was already gaining. The fire was extinguished quickly but the upper roof and interior suffered water and fire damage while contents were largely removed. A bedstead fragment caused a minor head wound to a helper. Officials suspect chimney soot sparked the blaze and insurance may cover the loss.
