Gossip from the area reports livestock and grain prices at Gerrit Gosselink Jr sale last week. A two year old heifer and two cows brought 345 dollars, corn in crib sold 43.5 cents, wire crib 42 cents, buyers hauled. Thirteen dozen Leghorn hens sold at 94 cents each, buyer M M Dockendorf ag instructor will use them on his acreage. A coming three year old heifer sold for 74.50 dollars and a coming two year old also noted.

Sheep killing dogs loose near Pella threaten farm flocks
