De Jong's New Seed Catalogue Delayed Printing Finished
Hoksbergen acquired the business late in the season causing tight planning intervals. A delayed paper shipment further slowed work but the Chronicle press finished the first 50 000 impressions for the sixteen page catalogues on Saturday. Over 10 000 copies are bound, folded, stitched, and mailed with a five ream paper cover and thirty pounds of ink. The project required precise image alignment for each plant and vegetable cut. De Jong Floral and Seed Co. plans rapid expansion with a large mailing list and a 1926 catalogue to win new customers across several states.
