Soils District Extends Across Marion County Vote Approved
The Marion County soil conservation extension was approved by a 272 to 16 vote on Saturday January 4th. In Lake Prairie Township 62 of 63 ballots favored the proposal. Voters praised soil practices and urged swift formation of a larger district with upcoming educational meetings and a soil survey by U.S. Soil Conservation officials.
