Water supply rumors debunked by city inquiry
Rumors that Water City water supply was failing proved unfounded. An inquiry found pumps of 760 gallons per minute draw water from the well faster than it enters, requiring more frequent pumping in dry periods. Officials see no scarcity and consider a larger reservoir to guard against fires, as Des Moines River remains steady.
