Governor Hughes Won’t Call Special Session for Reapportionment
Attorney General Evan Hultman criticizes Hughes for delaying a special session to pass reapportionment legislation. Hultman recently announced a Republican bid for governor. Cost estimates by Comptroller Marvin Selden warn of up to 745,200 for 20 days, with court guidance expected next month. Hughes argues delaying avoids wasteful sessions if the court rules before action is needed.
