The children mourn the death of Martin A. De Jong at his Peoria residence on February 26 1920 at 3:00 pm age 28 from influenza and pneumonia survived by wife and one child with Mrs De Jong ill. funeral plans not announced. Also Nicholas Sneller died February 22 1920 at Home for the Aged at 5:30 am age 89.
The deceased, who died after long illness due to old age, was never married. Funeral services were conducted at the Home by Rev. P. Braak at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery.
Word reached Sunday that Henry Verhey at the state hospital in Mt Pleasant is ill with pneumonia. Mrs Verhey and Mrs K Verhey left Monday morning to be with him.
