The District Court of Marion County Iowa has appointed Theodore A. Greeve as executor of Hendrikus Johannes Greeve. Creditors are asked to come forward with debts and all claimants must present verified claims for allowance as required by law.
Henry Vriezelaar and stock visited Chicago last week. A T Van Houweling and son Albert returned from Michigan Sunday. Otley ice men resumed operations but wait for thicker ice. Frank Verheul took his three youngest to Davenport for the Soldier's Orphans Home. Gerrit Snellers moved to John Kuyper’s farm near Pella, while Vriezelaar moved to the former Snellers lot. The Dutch Reformed church shifted English service to 9 30 a m. John and Mrs Brandt returned, welcomed with a charivari. Dr C P Cook sold to Dr Rawson of De Soto. Cook plans to move west. Rawson to move soon. Pleurisy illness hit Walraven. Van de Brake couple back from Pella. Mrs C Dykstra broke an arm. Mrs M P Van Oosterhout and daughter Dina back from Prinsburg. Visser Bro. sold furniture store to A Kuyper. Arie Bogaard’s son had appendix operation. Jongewaard, De Lespinasse and Huizenga performed it. Dick Van Zante left for the northwest. Miss Effie Bieshaar home from Orange City and S Dakota. Richard Rempe visited from Des Moines. Miss Kate Van Zante returned from Orange City and New Holland. Johnnie Bieghaar visited with parents. W W Girls met Mae Klaasen’s for light refreshments. Richard Synhorst bought the local lumber yard but delays possession till winter term ends. H M Tysseling to build a new general store. Delis Van Zante returned from a sugar factory west for an extended visit.
Mrs Williams fell Sunday and bruised a knee and is listed as being past going today.
Sunday gatherings and visits mark the week with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jacobs hosting Ray Roberts. Frank Cox visited Mt. Pleasant to check on Mrs. Cox in hospital, Mr. John Adair shipped stock to Chicago, and Eureka closes the year with Rietveld. Harvey residents Jessom and banker Holtzclaw travel for business while Rev. O Moon begins revival services at the Eureka Baptist church.
