The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Van Dusseldorp was celebrated February 12 at the Christian Reformed church in Pella with open house and a program at their homes including scripture, music, readings, and prayers. Recipe of the Month Bourguignon by Mrs Boat
The February recipe of the month features Bourguignon prepared by Mrs Bert Boat who taught Home Economics at Pella High School. Ingredients include beef cubed and browned, flour, consomme, red port wine, mushrooms, onions, parsley and bay leaves. Simmer until tender or bake at 250 degrees for several hours, served over water cooked rice with crusty French bread and a green salad.

A mixed study from State Hospital Madison Indiana notes significant sedation from chlorpromazine and other tranquilizers, especially with alcohol. Researchers report 60 percent of 24 workers and patients felt slowed, dull, or disoriented when combining alcohol with these drugs, warning of unsafe driving and impaired behavior.
