The board fixes deputy county recorder salary at 460 a year and makes the sheriff a salaried office starting January 7, 1907. It selected an official newspaper for proceedings, with Knoxville Journal and Express leading bids. Pella Chronicle filed objections. hearing continued with counter objections pending.
