Soils District Grows Substantially in 1944
The Marion County Soils District reports strong 1944 growth despite wet springs with 104 new cooperators adding to 406 since 1941. Acres under control rose to 71 983, ponds built total 80, fish stocked 59, and trees planted 150 acres. Activities included tours, meetings, demonstrations, and new groups north of Pella led by Gerrit Eysink and Edward Keuning.
