Get Rid of Non-Laying Pullets at Town State College
Poultry specialists at Town State College urge culling non laying pullets to save space and improve profitability. They note that the best laying window is late September through November, so pullet flocks should be evaluated in December or early January to remove birds that have not started laying. Slow maturing pullets are unprofitable and can be detected by examining vent, abdomen and head appearance.
