Sunday guests at Clyde Milner and family included Harry Sinnard and the Schakels. Descamp visited with H. C. Davies family near Attica. Des Moines shoppers included Lila Dickerson, Anna, and Dorothy Van Rees. Christ mas dinner hosted by Henry Van Eke Ren Sr. with 28 attendees. Rossereen Company workers sent 2200 Butternut Coffee strips to Des Moines club. Harold Vos of Bainbridge Maryland returned for a visit. Hauck and Mardell of Humboldt visited Visschers. Haucks en route to Florida. Mary Kempkes and relatives left for Biloxi Mississippi to visit Philip Kempkes. Office Christmas Party at the Country Club reported as a good time.
On December 17 Peter Keuning aged 80 and on December 18 John Gosse link aged 85 were remembered at the Home for the Aged. Visitors included Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Klein and son of Leighton and Rev. Gerrit Menning of Des Moines with M. C. De Bruin of Oskaloosa. Mrs. Pete Pol and Paul Langstraat visited Mrs. L. Langstraat. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Heslinga and baby visited Mrs. Albert Van Heukelem. Mrs. George Hornbeck of Ottumwa and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Roberts of Eddyville visited Mrs. Ella Johnson.
Mrs Ella Barnes and Maggie Van Zee of Des Moines visited Mrs H Vander Wilt. Mr and Mrs Dirk Geenen and the residents of the Home for the Aged wish a merry Christmas and blessed New Year to all friends and the board members of the Christian Benevolent Assn of the Home for the Aged. We also thank groups that came to sing Christmas carols and hymns during the holiday season.

Two deer collided with the plate glass front of the John Deere store in Anthon, causing damage to the storefront. No injuries reported. Local authorities and store staff secured the area and began assessment of repair needs. The incident remains under investigation for details.
A guide for a family Christmas Eve with a traditional carol, performances by each member, simple poems for youngsters, and times for church services. Include costumes, stories from youth, and include baby in activities to share the holiday feeling.
The Marion County Society of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons met in Bussey Iowa on December 19. Dr H Kramer Dr M N Bos and Dr R M Martin of Pella heard Dr D W Cunningham of Bussey present a paper on Liver Function Tests. The group gathered after a dinner at McConnell's cafe at the home of Dr Cunningham with Drs H M Perryman Horace M Don and Oliver B Doll also in attendance.
