J 8 Jessma from Prairie City and D V Eastman of Eddyville visited on business. Miss Ella Hynes and Miss Anna Vander Ploeg visited Des Moines relatives. J H Soetens home hosted Anne Soetens and children from Otley. Rev J C Clark from Provo Utah visited his parents. Several townsfolk visited family, attended meetings, or shopped in Des Moines and Newton. A Congregational Christmas tree is planned and a train incident near the depot disrupted service.
