Lighting choices for home illumination cautioned
Miss Alice Dodge of Iowa State College urges careful lamp selection for homes. Chandeliers suit large halls but not small rooms. side lamps placed judiciously provide sufficient light and a soft, kind glow. Indirect lighting overly highlights ceilings and can overlook attractive room features. Proper placement of lamps yields a homier atmosphere than central chandeliers.
