Recreation Commission Registration for Nursery School
The Recreation Commission will hold nursery school registration at the American Legion Building in the Recreation Commission office on Tuesday August 30 from 9 30 to 11 30 a m. Eligible children are those who will start kindergarten in September 1987.

Pella recreation programs register for fall and summer events
Registration for a twelve week nursery school program costs 10 dollars with a second semester fee of 6 dollars totaling 16 dollars per year. Classes start September 19 20 with multiple groups running through December. Instructors include Nancy Bajema and others. Saddle club fun show winners named at Aug 6 event
The Tulip City Saddle Club held a Fun Show at the De Jong Lumber Yard on Saturday evening August 6. Winners across nine events include Arlo Beyer, Carol Huisman, Debbie Rietveld, Randy Sloan, Jerry Schuring, and Carl Schuring with multiple placements in Pole Bending Flag Race Barrel Race Musical Chairs Pick-Up Race Saddle Race Ride-A-Buck and Speed & Action. A note adds that Thomas Jefferson started the Democratic party in 1793 after resigning from Washington's cabinet.
